Dear Fishing Adventures Forum Members,



Its been 2 years the fishing forum was started out of fun and also my passion for fishing since I picked up the hobby. The purpose is to share fishing experiences, information and ultimately, to meet new fishing buddies like myself to go fishing together!



The response exceeded my expectations and I was really taken aback. I didn’t know that there’s such a huge number of fishing enthusiast out there in our small and tiny island. Many wanted to share information and tips, from a simple knot tying a hook to a leader, different types of lures in different waters etc etc… to as far as popping skills and techniques in Japan waters. Experiences were shared regarding boatman services, tackle shops, even specific seasons for targeted fishes in different regions. I soon realised that to some, fishing may be a hobby but there’s also a lot of serious anglers out there as well, those who are into deep sea big games.



On the lighter side, there’s a section whereby there are suggested ways of how to cook your catches, where one can shop for 2nd hand tackle gears and also exchanging of stories of the big ones that got away. All in all, it turned out to be a friendly, informative and fun forum.



With registered members pushing towards 300 and with postings of over 6000 within a short period, I’ve decided to opt for a website domain, to keep Fishing Adventures Forum going on.with the view to reach out to more fishing enthusiast in the fishing community of Singapore.



Please re-register yourselves either with the old nick or changing to a new one at www.fishingadventures.sg and continue your support to the new forum. With the submission to major search engines like Yahoo, MSN, Google, I'm sure the new forum will generate even more traffic and will distinctly be a even bigger and better place for all to share, gather & meetup.


And as for the old forum, all topics will be locked and shall cease operations by the 1st April 2009.
