I have received a few questions regarding carbontex drags and where to order it.
Recently ordered mine from http://www.smoothdrag.com. What you need to provide them the model of your reel or to make things easier, you can take your drag washer out and measure its internal and external diameter and send it to Dawn at Info@SmoothDrag.com. He will usually get back to you within 1 day on the availability of drags.
In the event that you are unable to get a 100% fit, go for those that have the same external diameter of your drag washer, internal diameter can be slightly bigger because much of the drag is on the external part of the washer. (Advised by Bro Nimo) Another way around it is to buy a bigger washer and cut it to size on your own.
Before installation clean the whole of your spool, remove excess grease, then regrease with shimano white grease on all individual drag washers and metal washers. Put everything back, tighten drag to max. Then try to load the drag. I tried tying my line to my dog's collar but she refused to run.... In the end got my wife to pull on the line and run... Did this a few times to get the drag going. Can say that its super duper smooth. End of getting it seasoned, remember to loosen drag and keep it for the next trip.
Orders generally arrive within 5-7 business days. Mine took 7 business days. I paid usually paypal(https://www.paypal.com) with a valid credit card. Personally, think its more secure than to give the person your credit card number.
Hope this is of some help to those who are interested to upgrade their drags.

piero, have u tried teflon? heard it is smooth but will loose some drag
Think Shawn (S2) tried it... Teflon reduces drag not increase drag which is against what I want.
I want something that is smooth and increases drag so can use smaller reel to fight bigger fishes... Example my stradic has drag of 1kg, with the change, it can potentially take 2kg.... Estimate only..
Yes Piero, had tried to fit a set of teflon meant for my SS700 bought fm Nenasi.Sad to say when set to full lock, didnt attain 100% drag.Read abt the carbontex drag, had positive reviews on it,thus wanted to try out.Thomas,IMHO,the teflon may b smooth, but nt wise to use if fighting biggies
S2 thanks. Will give it a miss then.
Hi Chung,
Why not try carbontex. Its not as ex as you think.
I got a 5 sets for all my reels. Each set comes wtih 3 washers.
Total cost ard $65 plus including shipping. So each set is $13. Much cheaper than Sabre. If want to change and not sure how to, I can help U change the next time I see you. FOC...
Think S2 is interested to order, can do a bulk. This time rd I never jio pple cos I dunno reliable or not so want to try first before recommending to the rest of the team.
Piero,
All I can say is....
SMART DOG, POOR WIFE!!!!
Piero, Thanks. I am keen. S2, u interested in bulk ordering? Anyone else?

My dog topped her class for obedience training leh... Once she feel a tug on the collar, she wun move at all even if you ask her to fetch her fav toy. Another way to do it is to tie your line to a heavy object and U run lor... hahahaha... I still have 3 more reels to change the drags. Will try that tonight.
